Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Architectural Design Intern to be based in Virginia Beach VA.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2026.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Follows instructions to accomplish task assigned by senior staff. 
  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Architecture   or related field and must have completed at least 2 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelors degree and plan to continue with the Masters degree are eligible to apply for this position. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelors degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous internship experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Revit SketchUp Adobe Creative Suite or other related software is a plus.

Additional Information :

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Virginia Beach VA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Virginia Beach VA on a scheduled basis.
