Structural Designer
St. Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $70,000-$80,000 | Onsite

Konik is partnering with a nationally recognized visual communications and display manufacturer seeking a Structural Designer to join its Corporate Creative Design team. This role focuses on developing structurally sound, visually compelling retail and branded display solutions that translate creative concepts into manufacturable realities. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where design innovation meets real-world production.

Structural Designer Responsibilities

• Develop structural concepts for retail and branded display systems aligned with marketing objectives and brand standards.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D models using ArtiosCAD to support client presentations and internal reviews.
• Translate creative direction into manufacturable construction drawings, technical specifications, and assembly documentation.
• Conduct material and construction feasibility evaluations to optimize cost, durability, and production efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product development, and manufacturing teams to refine and execute designs.
• Support vendor sourcing efforts and coordinate material selection within budget and timeline constraints.
• Partner with production teams to ensure accurate build execution and resolve structural or fabrication challenges.
• Perform quality checks on prototypes and final builds to confirm structural integrity and design alignment.

Structural Designer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in structural display design (retail/POP/display industry required).
• Proficiency in ArtiosCAD; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and manufacturing constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to convert brand guidelines and client briefs into executable structural solutions.
• Portfolio showcasing structural display projects and design range.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-turn production environment.
