Overview
Registered Nurse - ER in an upstate New York travel assignment. Emergency Department care for a broad adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient population. Start date: May 4, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,252 to $2,457 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Setting: travel assignment delivering high-acuity RN coverage in a fast-paced ED environment.

- Unit: Emergency Department with mixed adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients; 64 bed capability, multiple diagnostic and resuscitation workflows
- Travel assignment requiring EPIC EMR experience and strong critical care skills

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED across newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, including rapid assessment and ongoing monitoring
- Triage patients, initiate appropriate interventions, and respond to clinical changes; support stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure management per protocol
- Administer medications, manage IVs and rapidly infuse medications when indicated; operate specialized equipment as required
- Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes in EPIC; communicate clearly with physicians, consultants, and the care team
- Coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, discharges, and family education; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and quality/safety initiatives
- float as needed to balance unit needs; maintain high standards of infection control, patient safety, and patient advocacy

Requirements
- Active NY RN license; Nursys license verification for all RN licenses
- 2+ years of ED nursing experience; pediatric exposure preferred; travel experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand at submission)
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Local candidates within ~75 miles may be eligible for local rate; travel considerations apply
- RTO (Reasonable Time Off) must be included at time of submission
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
