We are looking for individuals with strong mechanical skills that can be applied to the service and repair of small engine power equipment with training from our professional staff. This includes snowblowers, lawnmowers, chainsaws, and leaf blowers that have 2-4 cycle gas engines. Candidates will be responsible for performing routine service and assembly on quality power and lawn equipment from brands like Ariens, Honda, Stihl, Toro and Redmax. This includes diagnosing problems, troubleshooting, rebuilding carburetors, tuning engines and using power tools to assemble equipment and more. We provide all necessary tools and supplies for technicians to use.

Paid training is provided for qualified candidates. Some experience working on this type of equipment is required. We are willing to invest time, money & resources into training someone who has the right skills and is passionate about learning a trade.

Duties

After receiving training from our staff, Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform routine maintenance on customers’ equipment, which typically includes the following:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair problems with equipment
• Drain and change engine oil
• Disassemble, clean and rebuild engine carbureator
• Adjust or install new cables
• For lawnmowers: Install new blades
• For chainsaws: Install new bar and chain
• For snowblowers: Install belts, scrapers and skids

• Unbox, assemble, prep and test a variety of new power equipment, including lawnmowers, snowblowers, chainsaws etc. that use gasoline or battery powered motors

Requirements

Requirements include but are not limited to:

• Some prior experience working with power equipment
• Responsible, punctual and able to communicate clearly with others in a professional manner
• Strong attention to details and willing to listen to and follow instructions
• Ability to work independently after receiving training
• Interest in working in a team environment committed to providing excellent sales and service experiences
• Interest in developing own skills and knowledge
• Availability to work a flexible schedule based on seasonal needs
• Ability to push, pull and move equipment in excess of 50 pounds (like a snowblower)

Benefits

A competitive wage will be based on candidate's prior work experience and/or individual mechaincal skill level.

• PAID TRAINING to qualified individuals
• 40 Hours per week at hourly wage, plus 1.5x Overtime Pay for hours over 40
• Hourly wage varies depending on work experience and ability
