This is a short term contract assignment (90 days)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Epic Security Administrator to support a large-scale healthcare technology environment as part of a special project initiative. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Epic security framework to ensure appropriate access controls, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide standardization.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can bridge technical and business stakeholders while delivering secure, scalable solutions that support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Epic security capabilities and system access controls
  
• Design and maintain Epic security structures including:
  
• Profiles
  
• Roles
  
• Security classes
  
• Menus
  
• Coordinate security-related activities across:
  
• Physical security teams
  
• Infrastructure teams (network, servers, operating systems)
  
• Application teams
  
• Partner with application analysts to design and approve system-level access
  
• Establish and maintain access governance and delegation guidelines
  
• Ensure access is limited to authorized users
  
• Secure and manage remote system access
  
• Maintain password and authentication protocols in compliance with organizational standards
  
• Develop procedures for:
  
• New user provisioning
  
• Login authorization
  
• Security training
  
• User deactivation and access termination
  
• Create security classifications aligned with business and clinical workflows
  
• Develop test plans and scenarios to validate system configurations
  
• Participate in technical reviews to ensure change intent is executed accurately
  
• Provide production support, including:
  
• Escalation management
  
• Root cause analysis
  
• Issue resolution
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of applicable IT experience
  
• Experience supporting enterprise-level Epic environments
  
• Participation in at least two full Epic implementations or major upgrades
  
• Strong experience documenting business and technical requirements
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Effective organizational and time-management abilities
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within a healthcare environment
  
• Experience working in complex, multi-entity healthcare systems
