We are seeking self-motivated, enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused sales associates to join our team and drive our success! Pet Food Plus, a local, family-owned business, is a premier pet supply retail store with a commitment to excellent customer service, quality pet products, and educating pet owners.

The ideal candidates will be passionate about providing EXCEPTIONAL customer service and educating pet owners about our products. Our sales associates play a crucial role in creating a delightful shopping experience for pets and their owners.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting EVERYONE that walks in and thank EVERYONE who walks out of Pet Food Plus
• Actively seeking out customers in-store and assisting them in their purchases, including offering recommendations and finding solutions for pets based on the customer's needs and concerns
• Carrying out bags of kibble, cat litter, birdseed, and other purchases to customers' vehicles
• Maintaining knowledge of products offered and willingness to learn about new products
• Receiving shipments and merchandise displays - ensure products are stocked, priced, rotated, and arranged for an optimal shopping experience
• Operating POS (point of sale) systems and handling transactions accurately
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Answering phone calls
• Conducting various housekeeping tasks around the store including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, facing products on shelves, etc.
• Completing any additional projects assigned

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. throughout the day
• Stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stretch

Pay starts at $13.00/hr. However, compensation is based on experience, availability, and on your rate of growth/learning through your training period and beyond. Put simply, we happily invest in employees who invest in us!

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
