We are searching for a talented and qualified optometrist to join our growing practice. As an optometrist, you will be expected to use your skills and knowledge to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. Your duties will include conducting eye examinations, prescribe corrective lenses, and determine patients’ visual alertness.
To qualify for this role, you must be state-licensed and possess in-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders, conditions, and treatment. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills.
MedNorth Health Center is a federally qualified health center located in Wilmington starting up vision services. We are adding vision services to our comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health services and need a 20 hour/week optometrist. We are looking for someone to be here at least 4 hours per day, Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays but we have flexibility with the schedule. Our equipment will be new, and state of the art. SUMMARY:
Direct and provide outpatient care to clinic patients and ensure quality assurance including examination of patient's eyes, sight testing, diagnosis of visual disorders and diseases, determining course of treatment, providing and supervising appropriate treatment for such diseases, including glaucoma, cataract and diabetes.

MedNorth Health Center provides comprehensive health care services, inside a multi-cultural medical/dental clinic, to all individuals; insured, uninsured, and underinsured. The building is heated in winter and air conditioned in the summer with noise levels of moderate to loud. We serve patients who speak multiple languages and who may need the assistance of an interpreter.
