Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Over 10 years of experience in a multi-site, multi-organization setting as a senior or lead network engineer
- Proven expertise in network capacity planning, security principles, and best practices for network management
- Practical experience designing and managing high-availability systems, including load balancers and fault-tolerant setups for critical infrastructure
- Familiarity with telephony systems and diagnostic tools for voice and data circuits, with a strong record of resolving complex issues to enhance service reliability
- Deep understanding of global data privacy regulations and practices, with experience in integrating compliance into infrastructure design and processes
- Knowledge of contemporary IT network infrastructure protocols and standards, including OSI and ITIL
- Proficient knowledge of telephony systems
- Understanding of applicable data privacy laws and practices
- Competence in testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits
- Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation
- Familiarity with network segmentation techniques using VLANs, ACLs, and other technologies
- Skills in managing firewalls, including rules management and VPN tunnels
- Experience in provisioning and supporting network aspects of Hybrid Cloud environments
- Awareness of cybersecurity and security responses, including routine network patching processes
- Application and server network support experience with Microsoft technologies
- Proficiency in bandwidth shaping, policing, and prioritization using tagged traffic
- Knowledge of load balancers and high availability configurations
- Comprehensive understanding of various LAN and WAN routing protocols
Responsibilities: - Lead and collaborate across national and global brands to ensure a secure network environment that meets business and regulatory requirements
- Develop, implement, and uphold policies, procedures, and training plans related to infrastructure administration
- Investigate and propose products, services, protocols, and standards for effective network infrastructure development and procurement
- Monitor network performance, generate statistics, and reports, and devise strategies for maintaining infrastructure
- Engage regularly with stakeholders, department heads, and end users through written communication and face-to-face interactions regarding infrastructure activities
- Manage Incident Management duties during high-severity network incidents
- Build and maintain robust partnerships with local vendors supplying crucial infrastructure
- Collaborate with global IT teams and infrastructure vendors to support ongoing operations of globally provided services and products
- As a Network Engineer II, define project scopes, objectives, and expected outcomes for infrastructure initiatives
- Lead infrastructure project management processes and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to secure deliverables
- Conduct project post-mortems and compile recommendation reports to identify successes and areas for improvement
- Draft RFPs, bids, contracts, work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure-related projects
- Support the planning and implementation of IT security measures for infrastructure systems
