Job Description

Fabricates custom metal products including products and materials such as but not limited to fence panels, gates, posts, and other unique materials and products. The use of various welding tools, power tools, and other tools as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening that includes Marijuana.
• Reads, interprets, follows plans and blueprints to produce custom products within tolerances and specifications.
• Safely and effectively operates power saws, routers, and needed hand tools of various sizes to customize materials and products.
• Loads and adjusts workpieces onto equipment or worktables.
• Measures and marks equipment, objects, or parts to ensure specifications and standards are met.
• Manufactures panels or other materials through grinding, sanding, polishing, etc. to prepare and finish surfaces using needed tools and equipment.
• Verifies quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates or measuring their dimensions.
• Work with team to ask for help when needed and provide feedback as required.
• Transfers finished objects to specified work areas, using moving devices.
• Build custom products using tools and equipment as needed.
• Follows all company policies and procedures and ensures safe work environment.
• Display a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions from Production Manager.
• Ability to handle high dust environment and wear safety mask if/ when needed.
• Ability to visually differentiate between colors and textures.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment.
• Assist in other areas of the shop as needed or directed.
• Be on time and present for work daily.
• Take responsibility for getting the work done in a timely manner.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward personal, department, and company goals.

Experience:

Metal Pipe Fabrication: 1 year (Preferred).

Qualifications :

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and fabrication techniques.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively.
• Familiarity with construction sites and working with sheet metal.
• Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements.
• Certification in welding or relevant field is a plus.
