Job Title: Legal Billing Coordinator
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Legal Billing Coordinator to join our client to support accurate billing processes, trust account activities, and general accounting workflows across a busy law firm environment. This role ensures that financial records are maintained with precision, client payments are processed correctly, and attorneys receive timely, accurate invoicing and reporting. The Legal Billing Coordinator will collaborate closely with legal and administrative teams while working with sensitive financial information. This is a direct-hire, 100% onsite opportunity located in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Compensation:
$55,000 – $60,000/year
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Billing Coordinator:

• Support core billing operations by processing payments, posting transactions, organizing new matter setup, and responding to routine billing inquiries.
• Oversee trust and retainer fund activity, including account openings, recording deposits, facilitating transfers, and completing monthly reconciliations.
• Deliver financial reporting through billing summaries, finalized invoices, balance tracking, and ongoing account maintenance.
• Assist with general accounting administration such as payroll data preparation, HSA contribution entry, and credit card reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate retainer client records by updating rates, issuing scheduled invoices, and preparing annual usage summaries.

Qualifications and Skills for the Legal Billing Coordinator:

• Background in legal billing, accounting, or bookkeeping within a professional services environment.
• Experience using Centerbase or similar legal billing/accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
• High degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and clear communication skills when handling sensitive financial information.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort collaborating with attorneys and support staff.
