What To Expect
The Lead Account Manager, Broker will be responsible for leading a team of Broker Account Managers tasked with building relationships and supporting medium to large-sized brokers, building on both vehicle and energy product sales. You will be responsible for maintaining your own broker accounts along with leading the team, training & coaching, strategizing on Tesla’s approach in the broker marketplace and delivering a price walk and complimenting approach to Tesla.com’s finance solutions. The Lead Account Manager, Broker will also build relationships and support the Corporate and Funder Account Managers, connecting on training and sales opportunity support, making sure the current product line is represented and loading support terms to unlock more opportunity. The Lead Account Manager, Broker will report to the B2B & Certified Pre-Owned Lead in the UK and will closely collaborate with other teams, including local operations, delivery, energy, charging and HQ business sales leadership to consistently drive new and repeat business from the broker channel. Medium to Large-Sized Broker Clients
Meet all sales objectives to drive Tesla’s mission, including but not limited to driving broker onboarding, solidifying orders, scheduling sales reviews and insights, maintaining regular and proactive outbound contact with the brokers, and hosting test drives and education days for brokers and their clients. Train, coach and continue to develop their direct reports in all aspects of sales and operational performance with medium to large-sized brokers. Own the relationship for key brokers, not only educating them about our company, our vehicle offerings and our energy offering but also ensuring a great ordering journey and post-order experience throughout. To conduct regular broker tendering processes, to ensure we have the right brokers onboarded along with all supporting onboarding documentation. To set sales and performance targets for the brokers that we are working with, to make sure these are being achieved and reviewing these on a regular basis. Drive our customers’ success by acting as a facilitator to meet their needs. Establish and manage all contractual agreements with these customers where applicable. Including POEM, NFA and other agreement documents. To driver customer retention in the broker space, to continue to put Tesla at the forefront of their offerings and to grow out the philosophy of becoming easy for a broker to do business with us. Drive broker and broker customer satisfaction with Tesla products and ordering process. To continuously build and develop based on their feedback and hosting forums to get this feedback more consistently and freely. To bring Tesla fleet customer facing tools to the forefront and provide education to brokers on the enhancements and time saving nature of their implementation. These tools included but are not limited to, LeaseLink, Fleet API, Tesla for Business, Electric Parts Catalogue, OneLink, Driver App Access and so on. To be aware of the market and the external B2B fleet and consumer influences for purchasing changes, blockers or opportunities to help guide and develop our strategic thinking and approach.
General Duties
Actively partner with the B2B & Certified Pre-Owned Lead, the Corporate Lead and the LFM Lead, as well as the Tesla Financial Services team to develop a cohesive strategy for the growth of Business-to-Business sales within the Medium to Large- sized brokers, acting as a complementor to Tesla.com.Develop and maintain comprehensive product knowledge in respect of all vehicles, processes and business finance solutions. Conduct competitor analysis and fleet pricing benchmarking on a regular basis. Use Tesla’s internal tools to manage you and your team’s pipeline, including but not limited to logging appointments, calls, test drives, contacts, agreements, events, Ride & Drives and meeting notes. Ensure brokers and customers are fulfilling their contractual obligations (e.g. payment terms and volume commitments). Continuous improvement of processes and procedures to reduce operational friction. Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required.
You Must
Be a self-starter and a team-player. Take ownership and operate with first principles thinking. Have experience in Business-to-Business or commercial sales with proven track record to meet and exceed targets and goals. Love to challenge the status quo and work well in high-pressure situations. Be strategic, creative and proactive. Be self-aware, flexible and open-minded. Take every opportunity to build in person relationships, either at events, site meetings or individual catch ups. Travel would make up 3-4 days of your week. Possess a rare combination of mental agility, analytical thinking, hands-on problem solving, and a customer-service mindset. Be an advocate for your customers and your colleagues.
What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional sales experience. Leadership experience, ideally (but not essential) in a sales or customer services-based business.Have experience in Business-to-Business or commercial sales with proven track record to meet and exceed targets and goals. Self-starter who possesses exceptional time management skills and has great attention to detail. Strong ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and adhere to business-critical deadlines. Passionate dedication and ethical approach to sales management and operations. Ability to develop collaborative relationships and act as a well-respected, trusted partner that others want to work with. Strong team-player, driven and passionate about Tesla’s mission. Excellent relationship management and communication skills, both oral and written. Solid knowledge of business appropriate financial options and incentives. Fluency in English required. Driving license.
