VACANCY
Elementary Teacher



Position – Elementary Teacher (1):
? Full-time, tenure track position beginning for the 2023-2024 school year
? income & Benefits pursuant to MTA Agreement.



Certification:
? NYS Elementary Education Certification
? Dual certification preferred with NYS Special Education
? Bilingual Candidates preferred



The prosperous candidate will:
? Enjoy working with young children and bring energy and excitement to the classroom each day
? Have teaching practice at an elementary level
? Demonstrate capability to use both formal and summative assessments to plan differentiated learning activities, interventions, and enrichments that are diagnostic and prescriptive
? Have practice with multiple methods of progressing monitoring and preparing data in a visual form for lesson design in a team setting
? Trained in MSRP language instruction such as Orton Gillingham or Wilson
? Utilize a student centered, inquiry-located, multi-sensory approach to teaching
? Incorporate the Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards into to enhance & augment technology-rich instruction;
? Provide equitable and culturally competent learning practices;
? Work collaboratively in a team to support student learning;
? Align instruction to the Next Gen Learning Standards;
? Identify & participate in opportunities to expand his/her expertise through professional development while maintaining a growth mindset.
