Overview:

Valid Ohio drivers license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection insurance eligibility driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Childrens Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Schedule: Part-Time 2pm-8pm Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday Rotating Holidays and Weekends.

Job Description Summary:

Provides transport and support for Nationwide Childrens Hospital the Department of Laboratory Medicine and their clients. Drives NCH provided vehicles for courier routes and on-demand jobs.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

• Maintains schedule to complete routine and on-demand routes daily.
• Handles pick-ups and deliveries from lab pharmacy homecare referring hospitals clinics physician offices and outpatient centers. Documents all route information and pick-ups per department guidelines.
• Evaluates and monitors weather conditions throughout shift to preplan for anticipated trips and delays throughout region.
• Maintains safety of cargo and vehicle in accordance with hospital guidelines.
• Assists in training of new staff and documents their progress per department guidelines.
• Provides customer service in an efficient and effective manner to ensure customer satisfaction and quality patient care.

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure Requirement:

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to use hospital provided cell phone and communication tracking system.
