About the Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA):
The Division of Mental Health and Addiction within the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) sets care standards for the provision of mental health and addiction services to Hoosiers. DMHA is committed to ensuring that clients have access to quality services that promote individual, family and community resiliency and recovery.
The division also certifies all community mental health centers and addiction treatment services providers. DMHA operates six psychiatric hospitals (NeuroDiagnostic Institute, Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center, Evansville State Hospital, Logansport State Hospital, Madison State Hospital and Richmond State Hospital). DMHA provides funding support for mental health and addiction services to target populations with financial need and administers federal funds earmarked for substance abuse prevention projects.
Role Overview :
This role serves as the central coordination point within DMHA for quality improvement, certification, and training activities related to Recovery Works and forensic populations with mental illness and co‑occurring disorders. Your role ensures program accountability by conducting site visits, monitoring compliance, and guiding providers through corrective action processes while collaborating with cross‑system partners to strengthen community‑based services. You will support trauma‑informed, recovery‑focused initiatives across DMHA's priority areas and provides technical assistance grounded in evidence‑based practices. You will also develop and deliver training for providers, ensuring alignment with best practices and current policy guidance. Ultimately, your role advances high‑quality service delivery and improved outcomes for justice‑involved individuals with behavioral health needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving skills which are essential and clear and effective communication, critical to this role.
Salary Statement :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
