Job Summary: As a G astroenterologist with Allina, you wi ll immerse yourself in a role that perfectly balances procedural and clinical responsibilities with administrative duties, all within a 36-hour workweek .  

Ke y Position Details :

Our ex panding group of five gastroenterologists has openings in Buffalo, Cambridge or Hastings, Minnesota , utilizing five procedure centers across the metro.

In seeing your patients at an Allina location, you will have:

• P rocedure schedule from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM , then from 12 :00PM to 3:30 PM

• Each week consist ing of 14+ clinic hours and 20+ endoscopy hours/week

• Case load of u p to 14 patients on clinic al day s which are blocked at half hour intervals

• Flexibility for less than 1.0 FTE

Principle Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care for clinical patients needing gastroenterology services.

• Reviews patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.

• May provide care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient or outpatient hospital setting.

• May participate in on-call rotation.

Job Requirements

• Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalency from an approved school of medicine required and

• Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics required and

• Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Fellowship training program in Gastroenterology or Pediatric Gastroenterology required

• 2 years + of demonstrated experience in the designated specialty required

• Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire and

• ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required within 180 Days and

• Licensed Physician - MN upon hire required and

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, or in Gastroenterology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, or in Pediatric Gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics upon hire required and

• Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required
