Job Description Finnin Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Body Shop Manager to oversee all aspects of our collision repair center. This is a leadership role that requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, operational excellence, and elite customer service. You will be responsible for managing the workflow of technicians, coordinating with insurance adjusters, and ensuring that every vehicle leaves our shop in showroom condition. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can drive profitability while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Job Type * Full-Time Schedule * Monday through Friday * Day Shift * Occasional Saturdays as needed for operational oversight. Pay * $50,000 - $72,000 per year * Based on previous experience and qualifications. Work Requirements * Proven Experience: Previous management experience in a collision repair or body shop environment required. * Ability to commute to Dubuque, IA required. * In-person, on-site position. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. * Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Key Responsibilities * Operational Leadership: Manage the daily operations of the body shop, including technician scheduling and stall productivity. * Insurance Relations: Act as the primary liaison with insurance companies to negotiate estimates and ensure timely approvals. * Quality Control: Inspect completed repairs to ensure they meet Finnin Ford’s "Gold Standard" and manufacturer specifications. * Financial Oversight: Manage departmental P&L, including labor costs, parts margins, and shop supplies. * Customer Experience: Provide transparent, professional communication to customers regarding repair timelines and costs. * Safety & Compliance: Ensure the shop remains in full compliance with OSHA standards and environmental regulations. Qualifications * Deep understanding of collision repair processes, frame alignment, and paint operations. * Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex). * Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team of technicians. * Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority repairs simultaneously. * Professional demeanor with a focus on building long-term community trust.
