As a Security Officer Certified Armed Patrol Driver in Odessa TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. What Youll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors customers and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observed activity and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store parking areas loading zones and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances exits high-traffic areas and/or point-of-sale surroundings for unusual behavior policy violations or potential loss prevention concerns while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Carry out assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards location policies and applicable laws maintaining readiness to respond to security-related incidents as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement corrections and/or military experience or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Must possess one or more of the following;
    • Minimum of three (3) years of military law enforcement or corrections officer experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role
    • Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of four (4) years armed experience
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
